KT Updates-Couples and Cancellations

I don't have too much today, but I did hear about some tv cancellations and I thought I'd share the scoopage. 7th Heaven, The Black Donnelly's and Six Degrees have all been axed. Six Degrees is not a surprise and 7th Heaven should not have returned this year (stoopid CW-that's what you get for not picking up Everwood!). On the plus side, the CW announced a cancellation and it WASN'T Veronica Mars, so that's all good. I have heard many a rumor that the cast has been released from their contracts, but creator Rob Thomas has confirmed that Veronica, Keith & Logan are still signed on for another year, if there is one (what about Wallace? *tear*).

I'm sad about The Black Donnelly's although truth be told I haven't watched an episode yet. I have them all tivo'd but I might as well erase them now anyway--my friend Jackie was supposed to debut in episode 8, which, if NBC doesn't pull it, will air April 16.

There is no word from NBC what the demise of Black Donnelly's means for Studio 60.

On a completely different topic, I was reading my US Weekly this morning when I realized there are all sorts of couples out there I didn't know about. Did you know that Dr. Montgomery-Shepherd from Grey's Anatomy is going out with Justin from Brothers & Sisters (or the side-mouth talker from Reunion). That's awesome! He's like 10 years younger than her. Rock on sister!

Also, Denny from Grey's is going out with Mary Louise Parker! I was completely surprised but that news.

On the new coupling front, it looks like Reese has rebounded from Ryan with Jake Gyllenhaal. I think they make a cute couple.

Finally, to go back to tv for a hot second. I don't watch educational tv very often, but I want to endorse the Discovery Channel's Planet Earth series. It is frikkin fraktastic (especially on a 52' HD TV). It took 5 years to make and it is all this footage of the earth & animals and things that have never been caught on footage before. It is really awesome and you should totally check it out. It airs Sunday nights on the Discovery channel through April. Any episode you may have missed you can catch as they re-air these things a zillion times.

That's all for now folks. I'll be back next month with scoopage from the network upfronts (when they release their schedule for next fall) and to discuss fall finales.

P.S. Is everyone loving lost as much as me?
