Whoa! Just yesterday I said that Katie Holmes was dating Josh Harnett, then I go over to Cnn.com (thanks jess) and lookie! Tom Cruise's publicist confirms that he & Katie have been dating for a few weeks! Wow. I'm a little shocked. I....yuck! I think that's gross and I don't like it at all. I mean, if it was Tom Cruise a la Top Gun then it would be a different story...but, Katie-there are so many hottie hollywood boys available right now, why oh why?
Well, since I'm here with that update I might as well spill the other news that I have.
A couple weeks back Audioslave released there first new single off the forthcoming Out of Exile which is due in stores May 24. Well, I wasn't too crazy about the single. I'm happy to say that you can now go to http://www.bandbuilder.com/drm_your_time_has_come_audioslave/ and hear Your Time Has Come. I like it a lot more than the first single. Check it out for yourself.
I would just like to announce for the record how much I am loving Alias again. It is like finding the spark in a fading relationship. Thank you JJ for bringing back rambaldi, it really brings the show back to life. And wowie! Last night's little twist! Amazing.
The other day I was bored and was trying to think of my favorite movies. Could I make a list of my top 50? Well thanks to Netflix it wasn't that difficult. I just downloaded the list of movies that I rated 5 stars and what do you know...there were 54 of them! So I tried to rank them and here are the KT Top 50 Movies. Now, let me say for the record, that I'm not claiming these movies as the best ever made. How would i know? There are so many movies I still haven't seen. But these are the movies that I've watched hundreds of times, memorized lines to and still cry or laugh even though I know exactly what is going to happen. They are the movies that give me butterflies in my belly when i think about them..the scenes i know by heart and the characters that stay with me always. Interesting little fact, 23 are from the 80's. Only 4 since 2000.

Come And Get it!
Well hello everyone. And welcome to the new home of the KT updates. I figured this would be a nice interactive KT Update. For those of you that just stumbled upon this, Come And Get Your Pop will touch on a wide range of topics. Mostly focusing on Pop culture fun, entertainment gossip, award show recaps tv & book reviews, Netflix suggestions & upcoming movies...the KT update is unapologetically Me. So that means you’ll also see restaurant reviews, travel deals & experiences, some Nascar talk & an occasional obsessive rant. And beware, I like to ignore rules of grammar, spelling & capitalization!!! If that offends you, don’t read!!
So here it is, the first ever KT update ¦blog style. So, what made me decide to go all blog? Truthfully, Kelly Tobin mentioned it to me a long, long while ago but it wasn’t until I investigated a blog I heard about this morning on the Today Show (always in search of the ultimate travel deals, I just had to investigate newyorkfaresblog.com). While there I saw how easy (and free!) it is to have a blog. And here we are. So let’s get to the good stuff already!
First off…ohhhhhhh finally the Serenity trailer is online! Go immediately to http://www.apple.com/trailers/universal/serenity/ and watch the trailer. Ohhh the Whedon. Very excited am I. And remember any of you who want to watch the original Firefly series before the movie comes out in September, just give me a shout and I will gladly let you borrow them (David, you have until the second week of june then I am taking them back!!)
Equally as exciting is the new batman trailer. Truthfully, Christian Bale all by his lonesome is worth $9. But could this movie be good? Dare I get my hopes up? Would memento creator Christopher Nolan let me down? To reiterate, Christian Bale=$9. Hello, I am the girl who not only saw Peal Harbor in the theater but also purchased the dvd primarily for a scene involving Josh Harnett & a dirty wifebeater (kt sidenote…have you heard the hot gossip that josh is apparently dating Katie Holmes? ) Anyhoo, you can check out the trailer here: http://www.mtv.com/movies/news/articles/1500723/04252005/story.jhtml
Let's switch over to tv for a hot second shall we? You know not what you miss. Really. I’m thinking about writing the UPN a letter declaring my complete and total devotion to Veronica Mars, but for the love of god it needs a new timeslot. I can’t say enough how overcrowded my Tuesdays at 9 are. The Amazing Race, Scrubs & Veronica. Do you wanna know how good Veronica Mars has been lately? I think it may be the finale I’m most looking forward to. And praise Jesus, it airs before I leave for the West Coast Adventure (wowie, I made a list of all the tv I’m going to miss and I’ll be in front of the tv for days when I get back). That’s right kiddies, I’m more interested in who killed Lilly Kane then if the hotties over on Lost escape the island. Who woulda thunk it? Anyhoo, that reminds me that I’m working on something new you can look forward to...Changed TV Perceptions Of The 2005 Fall Season. Of course I’ll have to write this up after I see all of the finales, so look for it in June!

Scandal Alert! Did Paula Abdul have an affair with an ex-Idol contestant? On May 4 PrimeTime Live (ABC) will air an ‘expose’ on American Idol. Apparently most of what the news show will cover is being kept hush hush (if you got that pun you have some serious abdul issues-¦I didn’t even mean to do it) but one think that did leak is Corey Clark’s allegation that he and Abdul were *ahem* intimate. Seacrest, Randy, Simon & Paula all came out denying everything even before PrimeTime airs.
Celebrity Couple Alert! Apparently Angelina & Brad were photographed hanging out together on some island. I’m kinda disappointed. I was hoping that Angelina wasn’t a homewrecker. I still dream that one day Johnny Lee Miller will come back and take Angelina away. They were such a hot couple...oh quick side note…I’m absolutely in love with the lead singer of the Killers. In the Mr. Brightside video he has this whole Johnny Lee Miller Hackers thing going on and I love it! YUM!
Oh yes. More celebrity couple news. I think it is time to get myself a subscription to US Weekly. I browsed through the other day and saw all this gossip that I did not know! Like the whole Josh Harnett-Katie Holmes thing. And now, what is this talk of Michelle Williams & Heath Ledger and expecting a baby! Wow. Plus, what is this craziness about Reese & Ryan! They need to get it together! No cheating, no breaking up!
Only 2 weeks!! 2 WEEKS until the west coast adventure.
