Wowie Zowie! Lots of gossip!
News broke this morning that the WB & UPN will merge in September. Both networks will cease to exist individually and will now be the WC network (LAME!). Anyhoo I think is absolutely crazy! What does this mean for Everwood & Veronica Mars? EEE! I don’t want the WB to have their hands all over Veronica Mars! I really, really, really don’t like the WB. So I’m a little scared about this idea. But we’ll see.
Oh wait! I wonder if this will impact the planned Lance/Joey Odd Couple show that was supposed to air on UPN in the fall! What! I didn’t tell you? Yes, yes. It was announced a few days ago that UPN would air the show next fall. Man, if this merger takes away my Batone I’m going to be really mad! I’m sure the show is going to be terrible but I plan on watching every bloody second!
This week was the Television Critics Association Tour and lots of little gossip nuggets were given. West Wing and Will & Grace will end in May. The Office & My Name is Earl have already been picked up for next year. And a new record everyone! After one, one single showing ABC has axed Emily’s Reason’s Why Not (and most likely Jake in Progress). I watched both shows single airing. I thought Emily was a little corny but I thought it had lots of potential and pieces of it were really funny. As for Jake in Progress, Booooo Boooo ABC! I really like this show! How can you call one episode a chance? Booooooo Boooooo Booooo!
And while I’m heckling, I may as well give a big Bad Booo to Reunion. Maybe I misjudged you Fox. Maybe you saw where the show was going and instead of having a bunch of super duper angry people at your doorstep in May because the ending SUCKED you decided to cancel it and have some really angry people yell. Although I must say, now that I know who the planned killers were (either Amy the illegitimate daughter or Craig’s dad) I’m happy the show was cancelled. Boooo! The whole premise of the show was that one of the six friends died and one of them was responsible. Boo Booo Booo!
That’s all for now folks!
P.S. Jack Bauer is back and kicking ass! Yeahhhhh!

Frikkin Finally! A new KT Update!!!!
Hello my friends! Before we go off to discuss the Golden Globe nominations ( a bit disappointed I was) and the midseason replacements, I have a bit of…nsync news.
Oh! You thought you had escaped forever! Hahahha. It is a quick little snippet. Apparently the boys got together 10 years ago this month and some very loyal fans chipped in and bought some space in a December issue of Billboard Magazine saying thanking you to the guys. It was quite sweet actually, as was JC’s response….he’s such a good boy. He’s still recording and I’m waiting, waiting, waiting for his new record. See! I’m actually quite tame on the NSYNC fan scale.
In other news, Angelina has officially announced that she is officially pregnant by Brad Pitt. I’m so glad that everything is so official!
In tv news, re runs have finally ended and there are a few new shows to check out. I have one or two more to sample before I come back with my mid-season favorites. But, I’m super doopity excited to say that Jack Bauer is back. That set is locked up tighter than the Sopranos so I have not seen any spoilers. My guess for the big event that will draw Jack back in, Palmer getting assassinated. EEEEE! Can’t wait!
Ok, let’s get into the Golden Globes. The show is the 21st so hopefully I’ll be able to squeeze one or two more movies in before the show.
First off, it really annoys me that the tv supporting roles are for regular series and tv movies. Bah! Why do supporting roles get the shaft? They don’t combine the lead categories!
And this ridiculous-ness with Desperate Housewives has got to end.
It is not a comedy. Buffy had some funny moments but I wouldn’t put that in the comedy category. This is just a lame attempt to get nominations. Drama is too heavily contested so they go the easier route. Trouble is, there are finally some funny shows out there and they are taking up all the nominations!!!
It is not 1/1000 as interesting as it was last year. Plus, the only characters I actually like are Edie & Lynette. Everyone else is extremely irritating! Are we really expected to believe that Bree would get that involved with George after her husband’s death? Could Susan be any more pitiful? Gabby anymore unlikable? Alfre Woodward any LESS interesting? I’ve had episodes on my tivo for weeks before I’ve decided to watch them. Never a good sign.
Here are the nominees, and you know the rules, my comments are never far! KT comments are everywhere!!!
