KT Update!-The Status of your shows!

Hello everyone! I’ve got a bit of gossip and news, so I figured I’d give a shout out pre-May sweeps and upfronts.

In case you’ve forgotten, network upfronts are when networks announce their lineups for the fall season (it is also a time for freaking out, if you are waiting to hear about the fate of your favorite show). Here is the schedule for the 2007 Network Upfronts:
5/14 NBC
5/15 ABC
5/16 CBS
5/17 Fox & CW

There are a few shows I’m waiting patiently (i.e. biting my fingernails) to hear about. First and foremost, Veronica Mars (which finally returns May 1). Chatter a few weeks back was fairly positive, but these days I’m not hearing good things. If the CW cancels VM after not picking up Everwood last year, I’m done with it. It will be banished from my tv FOREVER. Especially after I heard that V is going to be super duper mean to my man Logan in the finally. I don’t think I will be able to get over that heartbreak, if the show ends with them on bad terms.
Surprisingly, another favorite of mine, How I met Your Mother, has not been picked up either. Hello, CBS? What in the crap are you waiting for? That show is Swar-tastic! It is my favorite sitcom (especially since NBC cancelled Andy Barker, P.I. after only TWO, TWO frikkin episodes!!!!! I liked that show too, I liked that Buster from AD was in it and I love Andy Richter. Stoopid NBC.)

In other tv news, I finally watched an episode of 30 Rock, which I very much enjoyed. Although truthfully a big part of it was that Gob from AD was a guest star last week, but it has now officially made it to my season pass list.

I’m sure all the survivor fanatics already know, but it was announced that the next season will take place on mainland China.

The Soap Network is now airing Season 1 of The O.C. It plays at 3 & 6. Check out the old OC gang back when the show was fun.

Men In Trees Fans do not despair! Even though the show has not been on for weeks and will most likely not return until the fall everything is A-OK. The show has already been picked up for next season and the remaining episodes for this season will most likely get tacked onto next season, which means we will have an extended season next year! Hooray!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Lost is kicking ass again. I’m just so excited I don’t know what to do with myself. Hopefully I can stay up long enough to watch it tonight. I’ve heard that the May 2nd episode is “game changing” (which is a locke centric episode) that no less than 5 people will get killed before the end of the season and that the finale will finally promise us the Locke-Jack showdown we’ve been waiting for since season 1. Wanna know who the final episodes center on?
4/18 Desmond
4/25 Jin & Sun
5/2 Locke
5/9 Ben
5/16 Charlie (are we betting that Charlie will bite it?)
5/23 Jack (2 hour finale)

The potential Grey’s Anatomy spin-off (Private Practice) will have its pseudo-premiere (the whole episode will not focus on Addison & her possible departure) on May 3. Check out all of these familiar faces: Taye Diggs, Tim Daly (Wings, Eyes, The Nine), Merrin Dungey (Francie-Alias), Paul Adelstien (Agent Kellerman-Prison Break), Amy Brennemen (Judging Amy) and Chris Lowell (Piz-Veronica Mars).

A lil bit of movies scoopage for you: Ed Norton will star in the next Incredible Hulk movie. I’ll reserve my comment to: Interesting.

I love when I can give some Buffy News. So, the 8th season of Buffy is now available a la comic book. So far the story looks pretty promising and it is fun to see the gang. Although it makes me a little depressed because I’d rather read a buffy comic than watch 75% of what’s on the television. For my buffy fans, you can find the comics (which are written by Joss) in your local comic book store, or you can order them from Dark Horse.com although then you have to pay shipping.

I guess that’s all for now kiddies. May is dangerously close, sweeps is upon us. Yikes!!!
